2021 Election Guidelines
Our biennial election will be held from January 15, 2021 at 10:00 am to January
31, 2021 at 5:00 p.m. The election will be held online and via absentee/mail-in
balloting only. Online voters will be sent a voting link via e-mail at the start
of the online election. Anyone choosing not to participate in online voting for
any reason may request an absentee/mail-in ballot. Absentee/mail-in ballots may
be requested by letter, phone, or e-mail at the office. All ballots are secret.
Only members whose dues have been paid through fourth quarter 2020 and who have
paid all initiation fees, fines, and assessments shall be eligible to vote.
Nominations of Officers and Executive Board Members for the 2021-23 term will
accepted until January 4, 2021 at 4:00 p.m. Submissions
must be signed
and submitted via USPS mail, e-mail,
or hand delivered. Electronically signed pdfs will be accepted. Please use the
form on page 3 of the Unison or a form is also available for download on our

Candidates for any office must be members in good standing and have held
membership in Local 34-627 for no less than two years prior to being nominated.
To be included on the ballot nominees must verify in writing before the election
dates that they are willing to serve for a specific office by submitting a
letter agreeing to serve to the Kansas City Federation of Musicians.
All absentee/mail-in ballots must be received at the local before the closing of
the polls on January 31, 2021 at 5:00 p.m. in order to be counted.
